The Commissioner of Education just announced that CLEL has been awarded one of the LSTA grants for 2009-2010! This is our second LSTA grant!
Here's our new project:
Creating an Online Road to Reading. In partnership with Rocky Mountain Public Broadcasting Services, CLEL will create online video clips that model songs, rhymes and finger plays appropriate for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Each clip will include early literacy tips to increase understanding of child development and pre-literacy needs.
Another new outreach for early literacy and libraries - we're going prime time!

There will be songs, fingerplays and stretches in both English and Spanish. This should be a great resource for family childcare providers, too.
