Storytimes are great places to teach parents and caregivers about early literacy, but there are other ways to get the message out! The Every Child Ready to Read program includes series of parent and caregiver workshops for libraries to offer their patrons. These workshops can be given in the library, or offered as outreach to the community.
The Every Child Ready to Read site has all the materials needed to prepare for and present these workshops, including scripts for presenters to follow, posters to display, and handouts and brochures for parents and caregivers, but please don't hesitate to contact us if you would like some help getting started!
