LEGO DUPLO is partnering with Association of Library Service to Children (ALSC) to create a new building system that combines construction play and storytime. Kids are encouraged to create and build while their parents read age appropriate board books to their children. In addition, they have partnered to create a site to let people nominate their local library. The most nominated library will $5000 for books and supplies to promote LEGO programming. 200 additional libraries will receive the play sets to encourage library programming. Check out the article in Market Watch. Also, look at the website Read! Build! Play! to vote for your library and see more information related to the play sets.
