Many Colorado Libraries have passive activities available in their libraries that support early literacy skills learning. Here's a listing of some of them. Please let us know if you have an activity to share!
- The Council Tree Library, part of the Poudre River Public Library District, has Play and Learn Centers designed by the Burgeon Group. There are over 40 activities designed for children birth through age 5. The Harmony and Main Libraries also have smaller versions of the centers. All three Libraries have puppet theaters that help develop narrative skills.
- Also at the Poudre River Libraries are 7 Advanced Workstations in Education Early Literacy computers. Other libraries in Colorado also have these computers available to children and families.
- Windsor-Severance Library District: "Learning Center" featuring puzzles, interactives, manipulatives, sensory activities, and board books.
