SAVE THE DATE! CLEL Annual Meeting and Call for New Steering Committee Members

The CLEL Annual Meeting of the full membership will be held on Thursday, October 13 (the Thursday that CAL begins), from 8 am to 3:00 pm. We will be meeting at the Council Tree Library in Ft. Collins, CO.

More details to follow - but rest assured, the program will be full and engaging! Plus, door prizes!

Thank you to everyone who was able to come to the Annual Meeting last Thursday. We hope everyone took something useful away! Thanks to all who filled out evaluations; the steering committee will use your comments to make next year's meeting even better! Things to watch for in the coming weeks:

Mark Thursday, Oct. 7 on your calendars as the date of the CLEL Annual meeting. We hope to see you there!

If you can't come for the whole day, join us for just the morning or afternoon. Come and find out what CLEL is all about and what we've been up to, network with your fellow early-literacy enthusiasts, share best practices, learn, and have fun!  If you are not a CLEL member, come anyway. There will be an opportunity to join at the meeting, if you like.

CALL FOR NEW STEERING COMMITTEE MEMBERS!

Thanks to your support and participation, Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy has grown from a small group based in Denver to a state-wide organization in just two years. Now we are ready to take the next step! Three of our founding members' terms on the Steering Committee are coming to a close, and they will be rotating off the Steering Committee at the end of the year.

The organizers of CLEL's first Annual Meeting would like to thank everyone who attended for their enthusiasm and support. We are excited about all our new memebers and are looking forward to all we can accomplish together for early literacy in Colorado in 2010!
