Wednesday, October 6th 11am-3pm MDT: Pre Conference Workshop

For the first time CLEL will host a Pre-Conference workshop, Reimagining School Readiness. This interactive, hands-on workshop comes to us thanks to a partnership with Colorado State Library, and is a project of the Bay Area Discovery Center (CA) funded by IMLS (Institute of Museum and Library Services). Participants will be introduced to the Reimagining School Readiness Toolkit, a suite of research-backed resources created for library staff to help families prepare children ages birth to 8 for success in school and in life.

Registration for the Pre-Conference has closed as of 9/24.

The recording will be available for all registered conference participants.

Thursday, October 7th 8:30-5:00 pm MDT: Leadership Institute

We will continue the Leadership Institute. Whether you are an aspirational leader or seasoned supervisor, this year’s program is sure to inspire innovation and insightful discussion of ways to apply practical leadership to your daily lives and work serving our communities. This year will feature two keynote speakers:

Lucia Gonzalez: 2020 President Elect of ALSC and Director, North Miami Public Library

Adriane Juarez: Founder "Library Leadership Podcast" and Director, Park City Library (UT)

Friday, October 8th 8:30am-5:30pm MDT: Main Conference

This year’s main conference will feature multiple interactive discussion sessions with fellow early literacy practitioners, keynote address with 2020 LJ Mover & Shaker, Janet R. Damon, and CLEL’s first picture book author panel!
