Early Literacy Reminder - Writing and Rhythm Sticks

We just bought some rhythm sticks for my library, and I'm really excited to use them in toddler and preschool storytimes. There are so many benefits to using them, and here's the early literacy tip I plan to share next week before we break into our rhythm stick songs: "Parents, rhythm sticks are a great way for your toddler to work on hand-eye coordination and gross and fine motor control. Building hand skills is an important part of your child's development and will help them when they start school and need to hold a pencil and learn how to write. Now let's make some noise!"
