Talking about talking is such a great thing to do in all storytimes. My library offers baby, toddler, and preschool storytimes and I like to emphasize that it's important to talk to children no matter what age they are. One early literacy reminder that works well for all ages is this: "Parents, talking to your child is a great way for them to build vocabulary and learn new concepts. One way to talk together is to point out the signs you see when you're out and read the labels on containers in your home. You can talk about what they say, and it shows your child that print is everywhere."
